The Process

Beauty and positivity are inseparable. If a work does not uplift, it cannot truly achieve beauty. My work is built on accurate, multi-layered traditions of the Old Masters to ensure every portrait has lasting depth and presence. I begin with precise composition and line quality, followed by a tonal underpainting and a series of intermediary glazes to establish light and atmosphere.

Using the abozzo to map the subject’s spirit, I finish with a refined overpainting that captures the final character and life of the piece.

Thought Of The Day

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

-Haile Selassie I
